BUSINESS EXPANSION

Investors are looking to Portugal as a market to be explored and as a gateway to the European Common Market. Portugal has offered advantages in terms of visas and tax breaks for individuals and companies, especially in the technological hub of Lisbon. There are other local and national government programs to stimulate investment in specific areas. The identification of investment opportunities, as well as all the legal support needed to structure, implement and maintain them, are within our scope of action.

Specific activities:

• Identifying investment opportunities in Portugal, other European countries and Brazil;
• Study and tax planning for the incorporation of companies in Portugal, Brazil and other jurisdictions, considering the impact in these countries (remittance of dividends, receipt of investments, etc.);
• Legal feasibility study for the expansion of companies already incorporated in Portugal, Brazil and other jurisdictions (possible barriers to entry, verification of prior requirements and authorizations, administrative costs);
• CDesign and execution of structured transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), providing multidisciplinary legal advice in the fields of corporate, tax and regulatory law;
• Assistance with applications for incentive programs.
