Maurício Zockun is a lawyer enrolled with the Brazilian Bar Association.

He has extensive experience in various branches of public law, in advisory and litigation, in domestic and international issues, focused on the prevention and resolution of disputes involving the Governmental Authorities, in the application of anti-corruption, anti-bribery laws, public civil lawsuit and conflict of interest. He also works on structuring integrity programs and on issues involving the Brazilian antitrust system (CADE); public service concessions; bidding and contracts; administrative proceedings, including sanctions; environmental law; urban planning law; notary and registration law; consumer relations, among others. He has also worked on regulatory processes carried out by the Legislative Authorities, agencies and regulatory bodies.

His professional experience and relevant academic output over more than two decades have made him one of Brazil’s most admired lawyers on more than one occasion, in a traditional survey carried out by Editora Análise with the legal departments of the country’s largest companies.

Academic Background

He is a Lecturer and he holds a PhD in administrative law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP), as well as holding a Bachelor’s degree in law and a Master’s degree in tax law from the same institution. He also teaches administrative law on the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Master’s and Doctoral courses at PUC/SP. He is a member of the Asociación de Derecho Público del Mercosur (ADPM), the Brazilian Institute for Legal Studies on Infrastructure (IBEJI), and the Tax Research Institute (IPT). He was President of the Brazilian Institute of Administrative Law (IBDA).
