Wiliam Filgueiras is a lawyer enrolled with the Brazilian and Portuguese Bar Associations.
He works in the areas of civil and corporate law, structured transactions (financing structures and M&A) and estate and inheritance planning (family office), assisting individuals, families and companies in preventing and resolving disputes; in organizing the assets needed to make and maintain investments in Brazil, Portugal and other countries; and in providing legal consultancy services in general.
The professional experience of two decades in large law firms has enabled his to participate in and coordinate mergers and acquisitions in Brazil, Europe and Latin America, assisting his clients in structuring highly complex corporate, property and inheritance transactions.
Academic Background
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in law from the University of São Paulo (2001) and a Specialist degree in business administration from FGV-EAESP (2005), he is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Business Law at the University of São Paulo Law School. His academic background also includes studies performed at the Hague Academy of International Law (Netherlands); Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain) and the University of Bern (Switzerland).
